Privacy Statement

This privacy statement explains how Personeel.com B.V. processes personal data for recruitment, job applications, advertising lead forms, and automated screening through WhatsApp.

Who is responsible

Personeel.com B.V., Lange Kleiweg 54, 2288 GK Rijswijk, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 90258614, operates the Personeel.com platform.

For employer-managed recruitment, the employer is generally the controller and Personeel.com processes candidate data on its behalf. Personeel.com is a controller for its own platform administration, security, service communications, and legal obligations.

Data we process

  • Contact and application data: name, email address, phone number, CV or application documents when supplied, vacancy, and application or screening answers.
  • Campaign and source data: employer, vacancy, campaign, lead-form, advertisement, referral, attribution, and provider identifiers.
  • Account and business data: account identity, organization, role, contact phone number, authentication details, settings, and billing references.
  • Technical and security data: timestamps, consent choices, limited device or browser classifications, request and audit identifiers, and information needed to prevent misuse.

WhatsApp and Meta data

When you apply through a Meta lead form or communicate with our automated vacancy assistant through WhatsApp, we may receive your phone number, WhatsApp profile name when available, message content and screening answers, message and lead identifiers, timestamps, and delivery or read status. We link this information to the relevant employer, vacancy, application, and campaign.

Meta Platforms Ireland Limited separately processes information under its own terms and privacy policy when it provides Facebook, Instagram, lead-form, advertising, or WhatsApp Business Platform services.

Why we use personal data

  • Receive applications, ask screening questions, contact you about job applications, and manage recruitment follow-up.
  • Match candidates to vacancies and provide the employer or recruitment partner with the application.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the platform and prevent fraud or misuse.
  • Measure campaign and recruitment performance and provide aggregated reporting.
  • Meet accounting, regulatory, dispute-resolution, and other legal obligations.

Lawful bases

Depending on the processing, we rely on steps requested before entering into an employment or service relationship, performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating secure and effective recruitment services, consent for optional marketing or non-essential tracking, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Who receives the data

We share application information with the employer or recruitment partner responsible for the vacancy. Where needed, we use carefully selected providers for hosting, storage, authentication, communications, analytics, payments, support, and security.

For Meta campaigns, lead forms, and WhatsApp messaging, relevant data is exchanged with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and its service providers. We disclose information to authorities or advisers only when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where an adequacy decision does not apply, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary security measures where required.

Retention

Candidate, application, and screening-conversation data is normally retained for no longer than 12 months after the last relevant activity, unless the responsible employer chooses a shorter lawful period or a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention. Raw provider and webhook payloads containing personal data are normally removed within 90 days. Security, audit, and billing records follow their applicable operational or statutory periods.

When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it. Aggregated statistics that no longer identify a person may be retained.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential technologies for authentication, security, language, and consent preferences. Optional analytics or marketing technologies, including Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics when enabled, are loaded only after the required consent. Meta may receive campaign attribution or conversion information where configured and legally permitted. You can change optional consent in the platform's cookie settings.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your data, and object to processing or withdraw consent. When an employer controls your application data, we may forward or help fulfil your request with that employer.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or your local supervisory authority.
