Fairphone B.V. is seeking a Senior Android Systems Engineer for Partner Integration to design and implement software bridges for partner components in the Android stack. You will provide technical guidance to partners and ensure seamless integration throughout the development lifecycle, working in a hybrid model based in Amsterdam.

- Design and implement software bridges and integration layers for partner components in the Android stack
- Provide technical guidance to partners for integrating solutions into open-source and production codebases
- Ensure partner components are integrated throughout the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with quality and testing teams to validate ODM deliverables
- Triage and resolve complex integration issues across hardware and software boundaries
- Manage project timelines and coordinate cross-functional delivery
Wat je meebrengt
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Android ecosystem
- Expert developer in C/C++ or Rust, Java, and Kotlin
- Ability to lead technical discussions and negotiate solutions with external partners
- Experience working with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) in a technical capacity
- Proficient with GNU/Linux operating systems
Mooi meegenomen
- Knowledge of AI/ML integration in Android
- Experience building business cases
- Familiarity with Enterprise Firmware Over-the-Air (EFOTA) solutions
- Familiarity with Android Enterprise system update policies
- Expertise in Android HALs such as camera, audio, WiFi, or Bluetooth
