Lionsville is looking for an AI & Optimisation Engineer to own the intelligence layer of platforms that recommend actions in live operations. In this hybrid role based in The Hague, you will build semantic models, knowledge graphs, and decision logic while applying machine learning where it adds value.

  • Own the intelligence layer of platforms that recommend actions in live operations
  • Build the semantic layer: ontology, taxonomy, entity relationships and state machines
  • Model relationships in a knowledge graph over disparate systems
  • Own decision logic and optimisation: scheduling, allocation, routing with constraints
  • Apply machine learning for forecasting and pattern detection where appropriate
  • Design measurement baselines and retire models that do not earn their place

Wat je meebrengt

  • Ownership, bias to solutions, and clear communication including explaining models to non-technical people
  • Experience working agentically with AI and opinions about its breakdowns
  • Semantic and relationship modelling: ontology, taxonomy, knowledge graphs, domain modelling
  • Optimisation or constraint-based decision logic: scheduling, allocation, routing, operations research
  • Applied machine learning with judgement to know when it is the wrong tool
  • Strong software architecture capability for production code

Mooi meegenomen

  • Master's in computer science, operations research, applied mathematics or physics
  • Living in the Randstad and comfortable with occasional travel to customer sites
  • Dutch language
