Telnyx is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with enterprise customers in the Benelux region. You will embed with clients to understand their communications workflows and AI use cases, building and deploying custom implementations using Telnyx APIs and open-weight LLMs.

Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows and AI use cases
Build and deploy custom implementations including AI Voice Assistants and Telnyx APIs
Run open-weight LLMs in customer environments using Telnyx Inference or self-hosted stacks
Deploy and operate LiteLLM as model gateway with routing, load balancing, and observability
Wire production observability with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting
Lead POCs, pilots, and production launches from whiteboard to go-live

Wat je meebrengt

CS degree or equivalent experience
3+ years building and shipping production software
Proficiency in Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and Go
Practical understanding of production issues with models: rate limits, timeouts, streaming, cost attribution
Comfortable deploying containerized services on Kubernetes
Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, or ELK

Mooi meegenomen

Experience with AI voice assistants, STT/TTS, or LLM-based conversational systems
Hands-on production experience with an LLM gateway like LiteLLM, Portkey, or Kong AI Gateway
Familiarity with open-weight model landscape and EU sovereign AI initiatives
Experience with inference serving engines like vLLM, SGLang, or TGI
SQL proficiency and ETL/data wrangling experience
Background in telecom, CPaaS, or high-growth SaaS
