Quantware is seeking a Quantum R&D Engineer to advance the development of Traveling Wave Parametric Amplifiers (TWPAs) in Delft. You will work on translating product specifications into circuit designs, driving miniaturization, and researching performance improvements. This hybrid role offers the chance to contribute to cutting-edge quantum technology.

Wat ga je doen

Translate product specifications into TWPA layouts and circuit designs through simulations
Drive miniaturisation of TWPA architectures and integrate peripheral components on-chip
Research extending bandwidth, improving noise performance, and integrating pump coupling and isolation
Present findings and technical proposals to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Stay informed of literature and state-of-the-art techniques in parametric amplification

Wat je meebrengt

PhD or equivalent industry experience in quantum-limited amplification or parametric amplifiers
Deep expertise in non-linear metamaterials, Josephson circuits, and mixing processes
Over 3 years of hands-on experience with advanced microwave design and simulation (e.g., CST, HFSS)
Track record of independent, creative problem-solving in R&D
Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings across disciplines
Passionate about qubit readout amplification and pushing amplifier performance limits
