About the job
War Child Alliance foundation is looking for an Internal Audit and AFAC Intern to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will support audit and fraud investigation processes while contributing to the organization's mission of improving the lives of children affected by conflict.
What you will do
- Maintain and update audit and fraud investigations action-tracking database
- Monitor management action plans and follow up on outstanding items
- Consolidate audit observations and remediation plans into centralized tools
- Prepare periodic reports and dashboards on audit findings and progress
- Support closure validation by collecting evidence and confirming corrective actions
- Assist in audit testing, reviewing documentation, and documenting results
What you bring
- Student of Finance, Internal Audit, Business Management, or relevant field
- Enrolled in a Dutch higher education institute for the whole internship duration
- Ability to produce quality work within agreed priorities and deadlines
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Proactive, independent, and flexible
- Available for 4-5 days per week for at least 5 months starting September 2026
