At Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, you will map the genetic and phenotypic landscape of BRCA1-deficient precancerous cells and translate discoveries into functionally validated driver candidates. This role involves working with a novel mouse model combining Brca1 deficiency with a fluorescent reporter, introducing candidate driver genes somatically via lentiviral delivery, and performing whole-mount imaging of mammary glands at single-cell resolution. You will also investigate immune-epithelial interactions in precancerous ducts.

What you will do

Map genetic and phenotypic landscape of BRCA1-deficient precancerous cells
Translate discoveries into functionally validated driver candidates
Work with a novel mouse model combining Brca1 deficiency with fluorescent reporter
Introduce candidate driver genes somatically in mice via lentiviral delivery
Perform whole-mount imaging of mammary glands at single-cell resolution
Investigate immune-epithelial interactions in precancerous ducts

What you bring

PhD in Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field
Rigorous, analytical, and quantitative scientist
Interest in mechanistic in vivo research
Critical thinking about experimental setups
Comfortable with iterative nature of in vivo research

Nice to have

Experience with mouse models
Experience with lentiviral systems
Experience with CRISPR
Experience with mammary gland biology

What you get

Contract for three years
144 holiday hours and 57 hours Personal Life Budget per year
