About the job

Destinus is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team in Hengelo. In this role, you will manage a wide range of commercial contracts and provide strategic legal support across the organization.

What you will do

Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts for procurement and sales
Negotiate and structure Joint Development Agreements with technical partners
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation
Collaborate with senior leadership, finance, strategy, and external counsel on strategic projects
Improve legal processes, templates, and policy frameworks using legal tech and automation
Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice in a fast-paced environment

What you bring

5-10 years of post-qualification experience at a law firm or in-house
Strong experience in commercial law
Strong foundation in Dutch law
Proactive, hands-on, able to manage buy-side and sell-side
Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail
Fluent in English

Nice to have

International experience or exposure
In-house experience in an industrial startup, scale-up, or international environment
Affinity with legal technology and process automation
Experience with contract lifecycle management tools
