About the job
Datamaran B.V. is looking for a Legal & Contract Officer to join their team in Leeuwarden. You will handle commercial contracts, data protection, and legal automation in a mission-driven environment.
What you will do
- Draft, review and negotiate customer agreements, DPAs, NDAs, renewals and supplier contracts
- Handle data protection as Data Privacy Champion, including GDPR questions and record keeping
- Use AI to build prompts, test tools, and automate legal tasks
- Triage incoming legal matters and decide which to solve or escalate
What you bring
- At least one year of hands-on experience with commercial contracts (excluding internships and traineeships)
- Law degree (WO or HBO)
- Uses AI in work and wants to advance further
- Practical GDPR and data protection experience or willingness to focus on privacy
- Willingness to learn English contract law
- Lives in Netherlands with permanent work right, works in Leeuwarden one day a week, fluent in English
