Eurofins is looking for an Assistant Scientist to join their team in Leiden. You will support upstream and downstream processing activities while executing experiments and maintaining laboratory equipment.
What you will do
- Execute experiments and tasks following established procedures
- Support upstream and downstream processing activities
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Conduct routine testing and analysis
- Manage sample handling, preparation, and storage
- Document and report data accurately
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedicine, or process technology
- 1-2 years relevant work experience in biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry
- Practical experience with upstream and downstream processing equipment
- Know-how of laboratory analytical methods
- Ability to follow standard procedures and provide process improvement insights
- Ability to report and present findings to peers and project leads
Nice to have
- Knowledge of large molecule drug substance manufacturing process development
- Familiarity with maintaining laboratory notebooks
