About the job
Leyden Labs is a dynamic scale-up biotechnology company based in Leiden. They are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across all group entities and prepare consolidated financial statements.
What you will do
- Own monthly, quarterly and annual close process across all group entities
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and identify accounting or operational issues
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements across all group entities
- Manage intercompany accounting and eliminations
- Lead annual statutory audit across all legal entities
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification (e.g., RA, CPA)
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial controlling
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Currently residing in the Netherlands with existing EU work authorization
Nice to have
- Big 4 experience
- Experience in start-up, scale-up, biotech, life sciences, or international environment
- Dutch language
- Experience with Power BI, NetSuite, and advanced PowerPoint
