About the job

Join Boskalis as an Electronic Technician in Papendrecht, where you will ensure the functionality and efficiency of electrical, instrumentation, and nautical systems. You will work on planning and executing installations, diagnosing issues, and maintaining accurate records.

What you will do

  • Plan, prepare, and execute installation activities on electrical and instrumentation systems, hydrographic, and nautical instruments
  • Diagnose issues and follow up on necessary work to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work in relevant systems and logbooks
  • Contribute to development of maintenance and repair policies for electronic and E&I systems onboard
  • Synchronize operational and control systems onboard, including power electronics and PLC technology, and ensure compliance with international standards

What you bring

  • Mechatronics qualification MBO Level 4 or HBO level, or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of operational processes related to assigned equipment, including electronic circuits and data transfer protocols
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Average skills in ICT Office applications and fleet management systems

Nice to have

  • Experience in technical, maritime, electronics, or mechatronics environments
  • Familiarity with hydrographic, surveying, positioning equipment, and instrumentation
  • Experience as a service engineer in ship electronics and instrumentation
