Vitestro is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary design projects in Utrecht. In this role, you will steer and coach discipline engineers while translating system-level requirements into sub-system requirements. You will take functions through design, integration, verification, and transfer to production.
What you will do

- Take functions through design, integration, verification, and design transfer to production
- Design and integrate electromechanical, fluidic, and sensing content
- Define and lead verifications and validations at function and system level
What you bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar
- More than 5 years experience in design and development of mechatronic devices
- Experience with industrialization and design-for-manufacturing of actuated systems
- Hands-on design experience with sheet metal, formed or molded plastics, and machined parts
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary design projects
- Experience steering or coaching discipline engineers
Nice to have
- Experience with medical device design
- Experience preparing devices for series production
- Experience with fluidics or pneumatics
- Experience with cable harness and grounding or EMC design
- Experience collaborating with and managing external suppliers
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) in a PDM-controlled environment
