Flex is looking for a Research Engineer to join their team in Woerden. In this role, you will translate market needs into system requirements and design mechatronic actuator concepts. You will also solve complex problems in existing products and manage intellectual property.
What you will do
- Gather market needs and translate them into product system requirements
- Identify technology differentiators based on market insight
- Design (sub-)concepts for mechatronic actuators
- Create theoretical product and requirements models during development
- Solve complex problems in existing products, sometimes with third parties
- Conduct patent research and acquire intellectual property
What you bring
- Master's degree in Mechatronics or Industrial Design
- 5 years of experience with mechatronic actuation
- Broad theoretical interest
- Innovative and out-of-the-box thinking
- Experience with customers, suppliers, and OEMs
- Translate customer needs into technical specifications
