Speechify is looking for a Software Engineer, Platform to join their remote team in Utrecht. In this role, you will design and own critical APIs and improve backend services for speed and reliability.

- Design, build, and own APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, consumption tracking, and public TTS API
- Improve existing services for speed, cost, and reliability
- Verify correctness of changes before shipping and add checks for ongoing correctness
- Automate repetitive parts of the role

- Design B2B and enterprise integrations for customers building on top of Speechify

- Proven backend experience in TypeScript/Node.js
- Direct experience with GCP
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or another cloud
- Habit of delegating work and showing results from freed-up time
- Daily use of AI agents with detailed description of their operation
- Ability to verify results against system state rather than summaries
