Brunswick is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Amsterdam team. In this hybrid role, you will define the long-term technical vision for complex systems and mentor senior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Design, implement, and enhance software or firmware features

Develop software for microcontroller and processor-based systems

Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making

Wat je meebrengt

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
8+ years of professional software engineering experience with technical leadership
Deep expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills with tools like JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers
Experience overseeing full software delivery lifecycle including deployment and monitoring
Strong understanding of communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE

Mooi meegenomen

Strong programming skills in C/C++
Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M architectures
Understanding of low-power and battery-operated embedded system design
Familiarity with embedded security, bootloaders, and firmware update mechanisms
Recognized as a thought leader in the software engineering community
Prior experience with embedded real-time operating systems like FreeRTOS or Zephyr
