Xebia is looking for an AI-Driven Software Development Consultant to help organisations adopt modern software architectures and build intelligent applications. In this hybrid role based in Amsterdam, you will design distributed systems, build cloud-native platforms, and improve engineering practices within development teams.

What you will do

Design distributed systems and scalable backend services
Build cloud-native platforms and modern APIs
Improve engineering practices within development teams
Help organisations adopt modern software architectures
Explore and implement AI-driven solutions and intelligent applications

What you bring

5+ years of experience in software engineering
Strong backend development experience using Kotlin, Java, Scala, or Golang
Experience building scalable backend systems or distributed architectures
Solid understanding of software engineering best practices such as testing, clean code, and continuous delivery
Experience with AI technologies, LLMs, AI integrations, or a strong affinity for AI-driven development
A consulting mindset: enjoy collaborating with different teams and understanding business needs

Nice to have

Experience with cloud-native architectures
Experience building AI-enabled applications
Contributions to open source or personal side projects
Active participation in developer communities or meetups
Experience with data-driven systems
Dutch language skills
