About the job

Metyis AG is looking for a Data Science Principal to lead analytics projects and drive client success from Amsterdam. In this role, you will manage client relationships, translate business challenges into data-driven solutions, and guide a team of data scientists. You will work on-site with a fast-growing, international team.

What you will do

  • Manage client interactions and build/maintain client relationships
  • Translate business problems into analytics solutions and drive decisions
  • Provide project management oversight to meet client expectations
  • Ensure project delivery quality and develop presentations
  • Act as sounding board for data/analytics questions from client leadership
  • Guide and develop junior team members

What you bring

  • Master or PhD in quantitative field (e.g., econometrics, AI, mathematics, physics)
  • Sharp analytical thinking and ability to structure information
  • Robust statistical knowledge with tools: SQL, BigQuery, noSQL, R, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, machine learning
  • Proven project management and team guidance skills
  • 8+ years consulting or relevant industry experience, with 3+ years at project lead level
  • Excellent communication skills and professional fluency in English
