About the job
Attendi is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in Amsterdam. You will own parts of the ML lifecycle and build scalable systems in Azure cloud, collaborating closely with product, backend, and mobile engineers to deliver impactful ML features for healthcare.
What you will do
- Own parts of the ML lifecycle: data pipelines, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, iteration
- Build scalable ML systems in Azure cloud
- Collaborate with product, backend, and mobile engineers to deliver ML features
- Explore new ML features and turn prototypes into production services
- Handle multiple roles pragmatically: LLM observability, infrastructure debugging, annotation workflows
What you bring
- 3+ years industry experience in ML engineering or applied ML
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating ML systems in production
- Comfortable with cloud-native infrastructure (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP also valuable)
- Fluent in Python with strong engineering fundamentals
- Enjoys cross-functional collaboration and ownership in a small team
- Pragmatic, product-focused, motivated by solving real user problems in healthcare
Nice to have
- Experience containerizing ML inference or training
- Experience with speech technologies (ASR, VAD, diarization)
- Experience evaluating, training, or finetuning LLMs
- Experience with ML platform frameworks (Ray, Dagster, Flyte, MLFlow, CometML)
- Experience with data engineering
- Familiarity with RAG systems, vector databases, or clinical knowledge-grounding
