The Antoni van Leeuwenhoek is looking for a PhD student to investigate epigenetic mechanisms of gene regulation in T cells. This role focuses on understanding how epigenetic perturbations can improve CD8 T cell function in cancer immunology.
What you will do
- Apply CRISPR-Cas9 genome engineering and epigenetic editing in human T cell models
- Perform epigenomics and transcriptomics analyses
- Use DNA-barcode-based epigenetic screens in yeast
- Validate mechanisms in primary human CD8 T cells
- Provide leads for improved epigenetic perturbation of CD8 T cells
What you bring
- MSc degree in molecular biology or related discipline
- Experience with basic molecular biology techniques
- Affinity or experience with computational biology
- Fluent in academic English
- Interest in fundamental epigenetic mechanisms in cancer immunology
Nice to have
- Prior experience in gene regulation or chromatin biology
