Telecom Regulatory Counsel (9-Month FTC with Potential to Extend)

1GLOBAL is seeking a Telecom Regulatory Counsel for a 9-month maternity cover position based in Amsterdam. In this hybrid role, you will advise on telecom and digital regulatory compliance across multiple countries, support licence applications for new markets, and collaborate with the product team to ensure regulatory compliance for new services.

What you will do

• Advise on telecom and digital regulatory compliance across countries
• Advise on licence applications and entry requirements for new markets
• Work with product team on regulatory compliance for new services
• Identify legal risks and develop compliance frameworks
• Liaise with external counsel internationally
• Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries and audits

What you bring

• Admission as a lawyer in an EU jurisdiction, UK, or US
• 3–6 years post-qualification experience in telecoms, technology, or digital regulation
• Background at a top-tier law firm, telecoms regulator, or in-house tech/telecoms company
• Deep knowledge of EU telecom and digital regulation
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Fluent in English

• IP law or litigation experience
• Keen interest in technology
