About the job

Fiducial is looking for a Forward Deployed System Integration Engineer to join their team in Delft. In this role, you will deploy autonomy solutions on various UAV platforms and travel to partner sites for on-site integration and testing. You will work in a hybrid environment with an international team of engineers and entrepreneurs.

What you will do

Deploy autonomy solutions on diverse UAV platforms
Assemble, wire, debug, and prepare UAV hardware for field deployment
Travel to partner sites for on-site integration and testing
Integrate and test full-stack autonomy solutions on partner platforms
Provide feedback to product development team based on field tests
Improve interfaces between autonomy algorithms and flight controllers

What you bring

Strong proficiency in terminal-based Linux environment and shell scripting
Solid understanding of UAV components and hands-on hardware experience
Experience with drone flight controllers like Ardupilot or Betaflight
Willingness to learn new concepts quickly
Adaptability and ability to act under pressure
Full-time availability (40 hours per week)

Nice to have

Obsessive passion for drones
Experience with Python or C++ development
Valid driver's license (Category B)
Drone pilot license or willingness to acquire one
