About the job

Cross Border Talents is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Heerlen. You will design and develop paper converting machinery and automated machines, collaborating with an engineering team to create design solutions. This role involves troubleshooting equipment both in-house and at customer sites.

What you will do

  • Design and develop paper converting machinery and automated machines
  • Collaborate on engineering team to develop design solutions
  • Plan and confirm mechanical component testing
  • Prepare engineering reports and check drawings
  • Select components with vendors and suppliers
  • Troubleshoot equipment in house and at customer sites

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • 4-10 years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Affinity with electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of CE standards and machine guidelines
  • Knowledge of production processes and automation
  • Good command of English

Nice to have

  • Dutch and German language skills
