About the job
Silverflow is looking for a Junior Software Engineer (Data) to join their team. In this role, you will design and maintain ETL pipelines, write production-ready code, and support data infrastructure as code.
What you will do
- Design, develop and maintain ETL pipelines
- Write tested, readable, production-ready code and participate in code reviews
- Deploy and maintain data infrastructure as code
- Instrument data-quality and observability checks
- Support AI tooling and automation platform
- Support engineering teams and product/business teams with tooling and datasets
What you bring
- 1–3 years of experience in software or data engineering
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go
- Solid software fundamentals: testing, version control, debugging, clean code
- Working knowledge of SQL and data processing concepts
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS
- Exposure to infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
Nice to have
- Experience with a data processing framework like Spark or Pandas
- Experience with columnar databases or BI tooling
- Experience with non-relational data stores
- Interest in AI/ML tooling or workflow automation
- Prior work in regulated industry like payments
