This role is for an Engineering Manager who will lead a Back Office & Integration team at a company operating in the travel, finance, and engineering sectors. You will manage a team of 4 to 8 engineers, taking ownership of delivery, culture, and technical decisions. The position is offered through Alex Staff Agency and is based in Rotterdam.
What you will do
- Manage a team of 4 to 8 engineers directly
- Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews
- Handle hiring, firing, and team expansion
- Take ownership of team delivery and culture
- Solve complex engineering problems and lead code reviews
- Drive architecture decisions using .NET technologies
What you bring
- Active people management experience within the last 3 years
- Experience managing mid-to-senior engineers with 7+ years of domain experience
- Strong commercial experience with C#, .NET, PostgreSQL, and SQL within the last 5 years
- Ability to work remotely initially and relocate to the Netherlands within 4 to 6 months
- Willingness to start on a fixed-term contract during the trial period
