About the job
Hudl is looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join their team in 's-Hertogenbosch. In this role, you will collaborate with hardware and software engineers to drive complex projects from early prototypes to fully functioning devices. You'll work in an autonomous squad with ownership over the full stack of the device.
What you will do
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware and application software engineers and system architect
- Lead technically in planning, designing and delivering complex projects
- Own the problem in an autonomous squad
- Power next generation devices by turning early prototypes into functioning devices
- Work on low-level components powering the full stack of the device
What you bring
- Deep embedded Linux experience with Yocto
- Strong background in user-space and BSP-level development using C/C++
- Linux Kernel knowledge including device-tree configuration and kernel driver development
- Familiarity with serial communication protocols such as UART, I2C and SPI
Nice to have
- Background in programming microcontrollers with FreeRTOS or similar RTOS
- Fluency with AI coding tools
- Exposure to Rust
- Familiarity with PCIe, I2C, UART, MIPI, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G/5G
- Experience with cameras
