About the job
Planet is seeking a D&I Program Manager for its Professional Services team. In this role, you will design and deliver platform and data solutions while leading proposal development for defense and intelligence customers. You will manage complex projects from scope definition through delivery.
What you will do
- Design and deliver platform and data solutions with engineering and sales teams
- Lead proposal development for defense and intelligence customers
- Define project scope, objectives, and success metrics with stakeholders
- Translate business and technical requirements into deliverables
- Manage project schedules, risks, costs, and budgets
- Deliver project updates to customers and internal stakeholders
What you bring
- 6+ years of project management experience
- Experience supporting proposal development for government or defense customers
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience preparing and contributing to technical proposals
- Experience working with the Defense and Intelligence community
- Ability to manage complex cross-functional projects
Nice to have
- Experience developing proposals for federal customers
- Understanding of platform development or geospatial data-as-a-service
- Experience with remote sensing or imaging technologies
- Proactive in improving existing programs or developing new initiatives
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Experience with globally distributed teams
