Mozilla is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Cloud Engineering team in a remote role. You will support development teams by building and maintaining infrastructure, while also guiding technical decisions and promoting engineering best practices. This position offers the opportunity to shape agentic workflows and influence platform policies.

What you will do

Support infrastructure for development teams
Guide technical decision-making and user-centric solutions
Create Claude skills and design agentic workflows
Guide team members and promote engineering best practices
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration
Write proposals and decision briefs for new policies and platform functionality

What you bring

5+ years software engineering experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or DevOps
Proven technical leadership experience
Expertise in several of ArgoCD, Grafana, K8s, GitHub, Terraform, Helm, Backstage, Cloud Cost Optimization
Proficient in Python, JavaScript, or Go
Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies (GCP preferred; AWS acceptable)
Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

Experience with distributed systems architecture and design
Knowledge of cloud security and governance principles
Experience designing agentic workflows
Database expertise
Experience building Internal Developer Platforms
