Mozilla is looking for a Staff Operations Engineer to shape and scale the infrastructure that powers its products. This remote role focuses on designing robust systems, leading complex projects, and mentoring engineers across the organization.

What you will do

Design and evolve infrastructure architecture
Lead complex infrastructure projects
Collaborate across teams to unify solutions
Improve system reliability and operations
Build automation and tooling
Mentor engineers and guide system design

What you bring

6+ years in systems engineering or infrastructure
Experience designing and operating production infrastructure
Expertise in VMware, Cisco UCS, load balancers, Linux/Unix, networking, data centers
Ability to lead complex technical work across teams

Nice to have

Experience with Infrastructure as Code
Puppet/Ansible
Python
Observability tooling and reliability practices
Containerization and modern platform tooling
Security best practices in infrastructure design
