Speechify is looking for a Software Engineer to join the AI Data team, focusing on discovering new audio data sources and building reliable data pipelines. The role involves collaborating with AI Scientists on training datasets and owning engineering projects from discovery to improvement. This is a remote, full-time position within a dynamic and innovative environment.

What you will do

Discover new audio data sources and build reliable pipelines
Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems
Collaborate with AI Scientists on training datasets
Own engineering projects from discovery to improvement

What you bring

Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong backend development fundamentals
Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments
Experience with production systems, ideally data pipelines or large-scale data processing
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Nice to have

Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data processing
Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform
Familiarity with ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing
