About the job
Vitestro is looking for an Integration Engineer to connect their medical device with hospital laboratory information systems. You will build and maintain interfaces that enable seamless data exchange in a healthcare setting.
What you will do
- Realize interfaces between hospital LIS and Vitestro's device
- Write transformations and mappings for specific LIS
- Test and go live with hospital IT and lab staff
- Maintain and extend Apache Camel gateway
- Grow into ownership of device IoT platform: provisioning, configuration, certificates, updates, fleet monitoring
- May extend into remote access tooling and internal IT integrations
What you bring
- Solution-oriented mentality
- Background in Software Engineering or Backend Development with 3+ years building integrations
- Java preferred; comparable JVM/backend language welcome
- Demonstrable production integration work: routing, transformation, mapping, error handling, automated testing
- Working knowledge of REST APIs
- Proficiency with Linux and scripting in Python or Bash
Nice to have
- Apache Camel experience
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, AWS CDK)
- AWS fundamentals: containerised workloads, managed databases, secrets management, logging, monitoring
- Experience in regulated industry
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards like FHIR
- Device fleet management at scale: AWS IoT, edge deployment, OTA updates
