Keylane is looking for a Junior Java Software Engineer to join their team in Utrecht. You will work on building new functionality and improvements for their SaaS platform, collaborating with business analysts and test engineers. This hybrid role offers a one-year contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.

What you will do

Build new functionality and improvements for SaaS platform
Collaborate with business analysts and test engineers
Take responsibility for a part of the software
Optimize performance, usability, testability, maintainability
Analyze problems with colleagues from various teams
Use AI-assisted tools in development lifecycle

What you bring

Passionate about software engineering
Experience with Java, IntelliJ, Git, Gradle, Angular, Docker
Experience with SQL and databases (DB2, PostgreSQL)
Able to create unit, system, and integration tests
Understands Agile way of working
Attention to code performance, scalability, maintainability, testability

Nice to have

Experience or interest in CI/CD (TeamCity, Bash, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Chef)
Interest in integrating AI-assisted development into CI/CD
