About the job

Join the R&D Quality team at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS in Utrecht as an intern. You will contribute to quality risk assessments and process improvements while gaining hands-on experience in a global food and beverage environment.

What you will do

  • Conduct literature review on quality-related risks in processing environments
  • Map current quality risks across factories and review available technologies
  • Analyse past quality recalls and contamination incidents
  • Support updates to Standard Operating Procedures and training materials
  • Assist in developing criteria for quality classification and risk assessment
  • Prepare reports and visual summaries of data and insights

What you bring

  • Enrolled in a BSc or MSc program in Food Technology, Food Science, Quality, Food Safety, Chemical Engineering or related
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Fluent proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Structured approach, driven and energetic personality
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Available for at least 5 months, 5 days per week

Nice to have

  • Some hands-on experience with food research activities
