About the job

Sensorfact is seeking a Senior IoT Engineer to join their team in Utrecht. In this role, you will develop and maintain embedded software on Debian-based gateways and collaborate on end-to-end IoT solutions.

What you will do

Develop and maintain embedded software on Debian-based gateways
Design and maintain tools for fulfillment and onboarding
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect end-to-end IoT solutions
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback
Participate in brainstorming to solve scalability challenges

What you bring

6 years experience building software for connected devices with embedded Linux
Experience with Python and bash scripting
Experience with C/C++ or Rust
Solid grasp of embedded Linux boot chain and device tree customization
Experience building embedded Linux images with rootfs/image build systems
Familiarity with interfaces like serial ports and Ethernet

Nice to have

MSc level education in technical field, preferably embedded systems
Knowledge of wireless protocols (EnOcean, BLE, WiFi, LTE)
Familiarity with electronics design to read schematics and debug boards
Experience with over-the-air update systems and A/B robust updates
Familiarity with secure boot and ARM TrustZone stack
Previous experience in IoT system architecture and design
