Silverflow is looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join their team in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for monitoring production environments, translating compliance requirements into technical controls, and enabling secure collaboration across the organization. - Monitor production environments and security infrastructure, investigate alerts, build and tune detection rules in SIEM, maintain dashboards
- Translate compliance requirements (SOC 2, PCI-DSS) into technical controls, own implementation and evidence collection
- Collaborate with colleagues to enable secure work, provide guidance, build self-service resources, remove security bottlenecks
- Review and manage access across cloud and application environments, apply least-privilege, run access reviews, improve IAM posture
- Help scope and coordinate penetration tests, track remediation, communicate findings to engineering teams
- Assess security posture of third-party vendors and new integrations, advise on emerging risks including AI/ML tools
Wat je meebrengt
- 3-5 years hands-on experience in security operations or security engineering, ideally in cloud-native environment
- Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including IAM, networking, and infrastructure security in production
- Ability to translate compliance and regulatory requirements into practical technical controls
- Hands-on experience with security tooling: SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, or detection engineering platforms
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for building automation and tooling
- Strong communication skills to explain security risks to different audiences and write clear documentation

- Experience in payments, fintech, or another regulated industry
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, OSCP)
- Experience with penetration testing tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with AI/ML security risks and governance frameworks
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline security
