Adyen is looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of foundational services and drive complex cross-team initiatives. You'll partner with product managers and engineers to identify shared platform needs and architect resilient solutions.

Lead design and delivery of foundational services used by engineering teams
Drive complex cross-team initiatives from problem discovery to production adoption
Partner with product managers and engineers to identify shared platform needs
Design and evolve APIs including compatibility, migration, and adoption strategies
Architect resilient solutions spanning multiple data centers
Own deployment, observability, operation, and continuous improvement of live services

Wat je meebrengt

7+ years of backend software development experience
Proficiency in Java and strong understanding of the JVM
Experience with Postgres or similar relational databases
Experience with CI/CD, observability, performance analysis, and incident response
Ability to lead ambiguous technical initiatives involving multiple teams
Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems

Mooi meegenomen

Experience with large-scale, multi-region, or mission-critical systems
Knowledge of authentication, authorization, encryption, and other security practices
Experience building internal platforms focused on developer autonomy
Experience leading platform migrations or driving adoption across a large engineering organization
