Mollie is looking for an Application Engineer II to design, build, and maintain high-scale backend systems and APIs in Amsterdam. You will take end-to-end ownership of features from architecture to production support and contribute to migration and modernization initiatives.

Wat je meebrengt

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Java
• Experience building large-scale, high-volume systems
• Understanding of distributed systems, queuing, caching, concurrency, fault tolerance, and scalability
• End-to-end ownership mindset
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Mooi meegenomen

• Exposure to PHP
• Experience with Go, C#, or Python
• Background in financial systems, payments, or data-intensive applications
