(HR) Senior Payroll Specialist
About the job
Backbase is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to own payroll delivery for the Netherlands, UK, and Spain. In this role, you ensure compliance with payroll legislation and reporting while advising on payroll, tax, benefits, and regulatory matters.
What you will do
- Own payroll delivery for Netherlands, UK, and Spain
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and reporting
- Advise on payroll, tax, benefits, and regulatory matters
- Partner with Finance, HR, and vendors for accurate payroll
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation
- Manage payroll tickets, escalations, and documentation
What you bring
- 5+ years of payroll experience
- PDL or equivalent payroll qualification
- Knowledge of Dutch and UK payroll legislation
- Experience in international multi-country HR environment
- Native-level Dutch and fluent English
Nice to have
- Experience with Spanish payroll
- Experience with multiple payroll systems or HRIS platforms
