About the job

Adyen is looking for an Indirect Tax Accountant to join the team in Amsterdam. This role focuses on ensuring accurate general ledger accounting for direct and indirect taxes. You will collaborate with various financial teams to maintain tax ledgers and support filings.

What you will do

  • Ensure accurate GL accounting of direct and indirect taxes
  • Collaborate with Financial Controlling, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Tax teams
  • Maintain and own general direct and indirect tax ledgers
  • Complete monthly accruals, direct and indirect tax journal postings and reconciliations
  • Assist in preparation and review of Corporate Income Tax and VAT filings
  • Provide support for tax provisioning and effective tax rate calculations

What you bring

  • Minimum 3 years experience in tax and/or general ledger accounting
  • Varying experience in regional tax accounting
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Detail-oriented with analytical and automation mindset
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize
  • Proactive, able to work independently and ask for help when needed

Nice to have

  • Experience with Workday financial systems
