About the job

Optics11, an innovative high-tech international organization in Amsterdam, is looking for an IT Service Desk Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for employees, handling a variety of IT requests and ensuring smooth daily operations.

What you will do

  • Handle incoming tickets, messages, calls, and walk-in requests
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with laptops, peripherals, printers, Wi-Fi, VPN, and Microsoft 365 apps
  • Prioritize work by impact and urgency, keep users informed
  • Escalate unresolved issues with clear descriptions
  • Manage onboarding, account tasks, and offboarding
  • Prepare, configure, and deploy hardware; maintain asset inventory

What you bring

  • Genuine interest in IT, shown through personal projects
  • MBO level 4 in IT or equivalent knowledge
  • Basic familiarity with Windows and Microsoft 365
  • Careful approach to security and personal data
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Customer-friendly and patient

Nice to have

  • Internship or first work experience on a service desk
  • Exposure to Intune, Entra ID, or basic networking
  • Starting certification such as CompTIA A+, MS-900, or ITIL 4 Foundation
  • Interest in information security
