About the job

Athora Netherlands is looking for a Reporting Specialist to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end reporting streams and driving improvements in processes and tooling.

What you will do

Deliver end-to-end reporting streams (IFRS, Dutch GAAP, Group, Sustainability, Solvency II, other regulatory) on time and with quality
Support investment data collection across departments; ensure data quality, governance, security, and audit trail
Perform reconciliations and analyses; translate outcomes into clear narratives and recommendations
Own and improve reporting templates, disclosures, process documentation, and internal controls
Maintain operational contact with stakeholders (auditors, regulator, parent company)
Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, controls, tooling, data warehousing, and automation

What you bring

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Audit, Economics, or Finance
1-5 years of relevant experience in Financial Reporting, Accounting, or Audit
Located in the Netherlands
Strong IFRS reporting knowledge
Experience or affinity with AI and/or data analytics (Excel, Power BI, SQL)
Eager to learn, result-oriented, improvement-driven

Nice to have

Solvency II reporting knowledge
Insurance-sector experience
Big 4 and/or financial services experience
Experience in improving data quality
Basic accounting knowledge (bookkeeping / journal entries) in an investment context
