Rewire offers a Science Traineeship in Amsterdam where you write a master thesis in the medical field in collaboration with UMCG while applying state-of-the-art AI techniques. What you will do

  • Write a master thesis in the medical field in collaboration with UMCG
  • Apply state-of-the-art AI techniques in a medical setting
  • Work on Rewire's AI Business projects in a regular project team for 2 days a week
  • Join team meetings and outings of the Applied Quantitative AI team
  • Potentially prepare research for scientific publication after graduation

What you bring

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or another quantitative field
  • Top-class academic performance
  • Strong focus on personal development and eagerness to learn
  • Highly ambitious and impact-driven
  • Excellent command of analytical programming language (like Python, R) and fluent in English
  • Full-time availability for 12 months, starting between October 2026 and January 2027

Nice to have

  • Honour program and other extracurricular activities are highly valued
  • Experience with bioinformatics software is not expected
