About the job

Adyen is looking for a Senior CDD Risk Analyst to lead the onboarding of complex enterprise merchants and drive risk mitigation in a dynamic FinTech environment. This role combines operational excellence, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize workflows and maintain high-quality standards.

What you will do

  • Lead onboarding for complex enterprise merchants, including multi-jurisdictional due diligence and risk mitigation
  • Translate compliance policies into operational procedures and lead calibration sessions
  • Maintain first-time-right accuracy, perform quality checks, and upskill team on quality standards
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance to optimize workflows
  • Partner with commercial teams during negotiations and merchant escalations, including direct customer calls
  • Mentor CDD analysts and develop training on emerging risks and regulatory changes

What you bring

  • 6+ years in CDD, KYC/EDD operations, or second-line risk/compliance in FinTech, PSP, or financial institution
  • Experience evaluating complex risk scenarios, including layered structures, offshore entities, UBO transparency, high-risk models, and multi-jurisdictional AML/CFT standards
  • Track record of navigating commercial dynamics and high-pressure targets without compromising risk controls
  • Experience in direct customer interactions and merchant-facing roles
  • Analytical mindset using data to identify onboarding friction and contribute to automation
  • High autonomy, resilience, and strong communication skills; eager to coach and collaborate

Nice to have

  • Prior experience as a Quality Checker or QA auditor in 1st/2nd line functions
