Awin is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and deployment of machine learning and analytical solutions. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to turn business challenges into data-driven strategies and drive innovation from initial concepts to production. You will join a collaborative team in Amsterdam, working in a hybrid setup.
What you will do
- Lead development and deployment of machine learning, forecasting, recommendation, and analytical solutions
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities and translate business challenges into data-driven solutions
- Design and implement evaluation frameworks, experiments, and success metrics
- Apply statistical modelling and machine learning to solve complex business problems
- Build scalable feature engineering and model deployment workflows with Data Engineering and Software Engineering
- Drive rapid MVP development and ensure path to sustainable production solutions
What you bring
- 5+ years experience as Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, Applied Scientist, or similar
- Proven experience delivering ML and analytical solutions from discovery to deployment and business impact
- Advanced proficiency in Python and data science libraries including NumPy, PySpark, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and/or PyTorch
- Strong experience using Databricks including Jobs, Asset Bundles, Delta Lake, and MLflow
- Experience working with business stakeholders to define problems and communicate outcomes
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline
