About the job
Envelio GmbH is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Core Team, taking ownership of key functionalities for the digital twin of electrical distribution grids. In this role, you will drive the development of cross-application workflows and enhance modeling and calculation solutions.
What you will do
- Take responsibility for core functionalities of the digital twin
- Develop and extend cross-application workflows
- Advance modeling and calculation solutions for electrical distribution grids
- Shape and improve the system architecture
- Collaborate with other developers to ensure smooth interaction between components
What you bring
- At least 3 years of backend development experience with a focus on data modeling and infrastructure
- Experience with relational databases and data model architecture, preferably PostgreSQL
- Extensive experience with Python, ideally with task orchestration like Celery
- Experience with graph data, e.g., graph databases or NetworkX
- Team player who enjoys collaborating with talented people
- Fluent English skills (C1 level)
Nice to have
- Knowledge in distributed computing, graph theory, geoinformatics, or electrical engineering
