About the job

Bjakcareer is building an AI Neobank app and is looking for a backend engineer to develop the core services behind it. You will design APIs, workflows, and integrations that power insurance, payments, savings, and more. This is a remote role where you collaborate closely with product and mobile teams.

What you will do

Build backend services, APIs and workflows for AI Neobank app
Support products across insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel and financial services
Design reliable systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications and operations
Work with product and mobile teams to ship customer-facing journeys quickly
Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers and other partners
Improve system reliability, observability, security and performance

What you bring

3+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, system design and production debugging
Experience building scalable services and integrating third-party systems
Good understanding of security, reliability, data quality and operational edge cases
Able to make practical trade-offs between speed, quality and risk
Comfortable working with product, mobile, operations and business teams

Nice to have

Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking or regulated products
