About the job
Eye Security is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Specialist to drive research and innovation in strategic cybersecurity areas. In this hybrid role based in Den Haag, you will perform offensive and vulnerability research, translate findings into operational improvements, and represent the company externally through talks and publications.
What you will do
- Perform research in strategic cybersecurity areas
- Drive adoption of new ideas and tooling across the organization
- Represent Eye Security externally through talks, blog posts, and media
- Collaborate with Security Operations, Product, and Engineering
- Take research from question to working prototype to handover
- Perform offensive security research and vulnerability research
What you bring
- Significant experience in cybersecurity and knowledge of threat actors and TTPs
- Expertise in one or more cybersecurity domains
- Strong communication skills and experience writing technical cybersecurity content
- Ability to translate complex research into clear content for broader audience
- Practical experience using LLMs, AI-assisted workflows, or agent frameworks
- Experience translating research outcomes into operational improvements
Nice to have
- Background in Incident Response, MDR, Threat Hunting, or SOC Operations
- Demonstrable research output and contributions to cybersecurity community
- Hands-on experience with Python, Go, or similar programming languages
- Dutch or German language skills
