Moonwatt B.V. is looking for a Senior Edge Software Engineer to join their team in Diemen. You will design and build production site controller software, implement low-level communication over CAN and Modbus, and run integration and validation on test setups.
What you will do
- Design and build production site controller software
- Build data acquisition and processing pipelines
- Implement low-level communication over CAN and Modbus
- Build commissioning and diagnostic interfaces
- Run integration and validation on test setup
- Define interfaces between site controller, BMS firmware and cloud platform
What you bring
- 5+ years professional software engineering experience
- Strong skills in C++, Go or Rust
- Python for tooling, testing and data analysis
- Hands-on experience with industrial and fieldbus protocols
- Experience building reliable data acquisition pipelines
- Comfortable working close to hardware
Nice to have
- Background in electrical engineering
- Experience with battery storage, solar PV, inverters or power electronics
- Familiarity with real-time Linux, Yocto or embedded build systems
- Experience with grid communication protocols
- Experience with cloud connectivity for devices
- Ownership of a core piece of product
