Moonwatt B.V. is seeking a Senior or Lead Firmware Engineer to drive the development of embedded firmware for their Battery Management System. Based in Diemen, this role offers the opportunity to architect scalable systems and mentor future team members.
What you will do
- Lead design and development of embedded firmware for Battery Management System
- Architect scalable and modular firmware systems
- Mentor future team members and set technical standards
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on integration
- Design and execute testing protocols for firmware validation
- Diagnose hardware-firmware issues using debugging tools
What you bring
- 3 to 15 years of experience in embedded firmware development
- Expertise in designing firmware architectures for complex embedded systems
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Expert proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
- Experience with microcontrollers and real-time operating systems
- Knowledge of communication protocols and hardware debugging tools
Nice to have
- Experience with battery management systems
- Experience in utility-scale energy storage or renewable energy systems
- Knowledge of functional safety standards
- Proven leadership and mentorship skills
- Strong problem-solving skills in a startup environment
- Passion for clean energy and sustainability
