About the job

NTS in Drachten is looking for a Wire EDM Operator to set up and operate Fanuc and Sodick wire EDM machines for unique parts and small series. You will independently program in Esprit and ensure quality to within about 1 micron. This role involves collaborating with engineering and preparation to make new products feasible.

What you will do

Setting up and operating Fanuc and Sodick wire EDM machines for unique parts and small series
Independently programming in Esprit, including selection of clamping and machining strategy
Monitoring quality and dimensions during and after machining, accurate to about 1 micron
Making new products feasible together with engineering and preparation
Actively thinking along about improvement and optimization of existing production processes

What you bring

Completed MBO level 3 education in a technical direction or equivalent work and thinking level
Experience with machining operations, for example as wire EDM operator, turner, or miller
Knowledge of machining strategies such as feasibility, tools, and clamping
Proactive team player who takes initiative, works accurately, and is willing to work in shifts
Good command of the Dutch language in word and writing
